Spring Vision

Y’all I love Spring! I feel like I say that about every season, and while I do love Fall and Winter, I do NOT love Summer, so I appreciate Spring, though it’s usually fleeting. I love planting flowers, and Spring showers. Not to mention just about my favorite holiday, Easter, is always in the Spring. And I just love the way Spring makes me feel (not counting the dad-gum allergies, that feeling I do not appreciate.) Maybe it’s because my precious baby boy was born in Spring, or because I married my Love in the Spring, whatever it is, it makes me feel warm.

Here’s a mood/vision/ inspiration board/post. ☺️ Hope you enjoy!

Hope it’s starting to green up to Spring wherever you are! What are your favorite parts of Spring? What do you find inspiring this time of year?

Hocus Pocus

October is here! One of my favorite months! The weather has definitely been cooperating lately, and letting it get that Fall-ish feel. I love what Fall brings– pumpkins, apple cider, crispy leaves, full moons, black cats, and of course fall/Halloween movies! Here are a few things inspiring me this month.

The Month of Peaches

August. My birth month. Also the month that so many kids dread, because it means school is starting. Growing up, it seemed like school always started on my birthday. Now as an adult, August doesn’t seem so bad. My favorite part–it means FALL IS COMING! I love fall. So while I’ll try to keep this inspiration board in summertime vibe, it’s hard to not let some Fall creep in. 😉 It also means–Peaches! Peach everything in August! As always, I hope you enjoy!

“August feels like a hinge in the year. Swing backwards and summer is there, swing forward and fall is waiting. I’m in the swing forward camp. I’m never sorry to see the summer end, although I’ll miss the peaches. I’m ready for sweaters and socks and new suede shoes.”

I’ve gotten pretty slack on my monthly mood/inspiration boards. Is it something y’all still enjoy? Would you rather see me do a different type of monthly post? I’d love to hear your thoughts, message me below or shoot me an e-mail, I’m always open to suggestions! aspottedheart@gmail.com

Once Upon A Summer: A Mood Board

I’m not real sure what’s happened to the summer, it’s almost the end of July! It’s been a good, though hot, summer. I have found it a little hard to stay motivated and inspired lately. What can I say, I’m a cool weather girl, it’s what makes me feel creative and alive, and this heat just zaps me of any creative juices or motivation. About 11:30 at night I start to come alive! 🌙

I’m posting these things today in hopes of a kick of inspiration! Hope y’all enjoy!

Happy Saturday!

May Inspiration

May has been such a weird month. We started out with snow and have had lots of rain and wind. It’s flown by and I feel like it’s been a complete whirlwind of a month, yet it’s lasted forever. I realized I hadn’t posted a mood/inspiration board for this month! So here are some things that have been in my mind’s eye this month, keeping me motivated and inspired.

Can you tell I’ve been day dreaming about a new bathroom? 🙂 I enjoy doing this inspiration/mood posts, because it helps me express my mood and feelings and inspirations of that month. It helps give me a vision for the month at hand. Do you, my followrs, enjoy them or would you rather see me do a different type of “monthly series?” Let me know in the comments below! Or e-mail me at aspottedheart@gmail.com

I’d love to hear from you!!

Spring Mood Board

It’s March ya’ll!! How did that happen?! I must say, I’m really glad to see Spring this year for the pure fact that it means One Cute Cowboy is finally done with wheat pasture cattle. He’s been more or less gone all winter long taking care of cattle, so it’s nice to have him home more often.

I’ve been thinking a lot about simplifying (read as: decluttering.) It’s hard because, let’s face it, I like stuff. I like knick -knacks and trinkets and sometimes I feel like Ariel in the Little Mermaid. But I truly look forward to making this happen, slowly but surely, this spring!  I think that’s reflected in this mood board. Simple, clean-cut spaces, and of course tons of gardening things coming to mind this month as I prep my flowerbeds and garden.  It’s my favorite part of spring! What’s yours? Enjoy!

Happy Spring Everyone!

February Mood Board

February’s felt like winter and spring. Isn’t that supposed to be March? I’ve enjoyed it none-the-less. Anyhow, these are the things that have inspired me this month. What are some of yours?

January Mood Board

It’s January, mid January at that. So far this month, I feel like I have a lot of ideas and motivation. I’ve been reading Chip & Joanna Gaines’ book The Magnolia Story. It’s truly been inspiring. I like to think that if Joanna and I were to ever meet, we’d be quick friends. I feel like we’re a lot alike in the way our minds work. Now, I’m in no way saying I’m as creative or talented as she is, I’m just saying our thought process seems to be alike in ways. I’ve always wanted my own little (tea) shop, and this month, reading this book has left me inspired and motivated and creatively thinking, which is always a good thing in my books! These are a few things and spaces that I’ve found to set  the mood for my mind-set this month. What’s inspired you? What are things that help you get motivated? Hope you enjoy what’s inspired me!

Being Thankful: A November Mood Board

When November rolls around, everyone starts to remember and make lists of what they’re most thankful for. I love to see those, from the smallest things to the biggest things people are thankful for in their lives. This last week has made me long for those thankful posts on social media. It’s heart-breaking to see what’s been going on in our country in response to our new President-elect. One thing I keep at the forefront of my mind is, God is good, all the time. I’m holding that mantra especially close as we go into the next few months. I have great hope. This isn’t to be a political post, but a human post. I pray that each one of you keep your inspirations close, your eyes bright, and your hearts open. Remember we’re all in this together no matter which side you’re on. With that said, here are the things that are inspiring me, keeping me motivated, and keeping my mind creatively active. I’d love to know what all of you are inspired by! What are some of your daily mantras?
