“Kiss Me I’m Irish!” 💋🍀

In case you didn’t know, One Cute Cowboy and I are both red-heads and as you would guess, both have some Irish blood in our genes. St.Patrick’s day has always been a fun holiday to us. One thing I’d never given much thought to is why people say, “Kiss Me I’m Irish!!” So I decided to do some googling.

I found that it relates back to the Blarney Stone. The Blarney Stone is a piece of limestone in the wall at Blarney Castle just outside of Cork, Ireland. To kiss  this stone is said to give the gift of gab (great eloquence or skill of flattery.) This legend dates back to the 15th century.

So, kissing someone who is truly Irish is said to be as good as kissing the Blarney Stone itself! 💋

There you have it! I found a couple other fun St.Patrick’s day facts on Pinterest!
